Burberry Blur

I have wanted a Burberry trench coat all my life (no lie.) I really have no reason not getting one. There is no doubt that a Burberry trench is a bonafide classic and I cannot claim to be a lover of fashion without one. The latest Burberry pre-collection images have jusy reminded me why. I have fallen in love with everything. Black has never looked better in trench-form, don't you agree?

Oh and boys looked good too...

The 4 steps to Leather Legging Nirvana

Vogue UK have announced in the recent January issue, that the stylish woman should be binning all "gings" i.e leggings, jeggings and treggings. I have chosen to reject such foolishness and just purchased the hottest leather(-ette he he) leggings ever, courtesy of Zara.com. I have always been a Zara fan but ever since they went online there has been so much to lust after. I love the fact this pair has a sweet two-tone touch (knitted at the back, smooth at the front) and a total snip at 20 quid. I heart them, they're my new winter BF. Want a piece of the action? Here's how you get to leather legging Nirvana.

1. Receive austere yet chic Zara box.

2. Open box to reveal your beautifully wrapped purchase.

3. Try on new purchase and strut for the camera.

4. Strut again.

Vicky B I Heart Thee

This Friday the ubiquitous Net-a-porter.com are launching the much fussed about Victoria Beckham handbags. Anyone who reads this blog will know I am a shoe devotee, but these bags make my heart race. I adore the simplcity and boxy shape of them all. The 'Victoria' (definitely inspired by Mrs Beckham's Birkin addiction) is obviously going to be the sell out, personally i am loving the boxy oversized briefcase. Pleeeeeeaaaasssseee Santa?

Pringle...Once you Pop

I adore pre-collections, they just remind me of when summer is turning to autumn, which is my favourite fashion season hands down. This is the reason I love style.com (what were Conde Nast thinking?) for always bringing the latest collections to the fore. How hot is this Pringle of Scotland ensemble? This is a coatigan in its finest form and the boots are beyond sweet. Forget summer its all about Autumn '11.

Reiss' Pieces: The Spring Edition

I was lucky enough to check out the Reiss Spring 2011 press day, featuring 1979 and the mainline collection. Overall I'd say 1979 was younger and a little more fashion forward with beautiful white crocheted dresses and pale pastel printed denim. I loved it and the accessories were brutally hot.

Celine-esque box bags...
The Crochet stunner
Channeling a bit of Ms Fawcett

Reiss' mainline naturally erred towards a more grown up aesthetic. Glossy, seventies style with full length skirts and fluid dresses galore. There really wasn't anything not to love. Oh and I want all of the below. Bad.

I don't care what anyone else says. Reiss do the hottest clutches on road.
Eat you heart out Azzedine

Hats off!

She's your Queen to be...

So what do you think of my fantasy options for Miss Middleton (with a few footwear options thrown in for good measure)? Why am I so excited about this wedding? To be fair there's an extra Bank Holiday next year as a result! Secretly I am hoping she opts for some OTT corseted Westwood...

The M&S Story

BEFORE

AFTER??

Around the month of July, as a typical fashion lover, I started to focus on my A/W wardrobe. The usual pieces popped in to my mind as essentials: The statement knit, A chunky wedge boot, a peg-leg trouser, but something special emerged, which I decided was a must have piece for my look: The black leather dirndl. The skirt in question was from the humble M&S and a decent price at £99, the countdown had begun and the skirt was destined to be mine. Unfortunately the dream ended as a nightmare, after several months of delays and push backs the once stunning sleek black skirt (obviously a press sample) had transformed into a kind of ugly burgundy/brown monstrosity with a hideous hem. Leather skirt obsession over.

The Headwear Upgrade

In am sooo over beanies for winter, they are sooo lazy and low maintenance. I'm all about the oversize fedora. Got this one from Uber in the fair city of Bath. This is my buy of the season for sure.

Fool Hardy

Ok, so there are a few things I am looking forward to this Autumn/Winter. The Lanvin H&M launch, finally getting my hands on the M&S leather dirndl when its released in NOVEMBER (I'm on a major countdown) and obviously I was pretty excited about the ubiquitous Pierre Hardy for Gap shoes. So on thursday night after the Vanessa Bruno London store launch, I popped in to Gap to have a look at the shoes which I thought were a lust-have, but I'm not so sure anymore. Don't get me wrong there were lots of things I loved about them the fact they're 4" and easy to walk in is a major plus (oh the joy of wedge heels!) but I think they looked a bit blocky and made my legs look depressing unimpressive considering the major wedge. Oh well I'll have to wait till summer to see what else Mr Hardy/Gap has on offer...

Flat footed in Paris

Oooh next summer could actually be a comfortable one, well at least according to some of Paris's most influential designers. I have already raved about Lanvin, but what I loved the most about the collection was its easy luxe and comfort without the loss of femininity or sexuality. The same can definitely be said of the recent Hannah MacGibbon, Chloe show and its the shoes that have SS11 grounded. From flat ballet shapes to architectural sandals flat to the ground there's an air of, do what you like this summer and relax.
