Thought of the day
"It's better to be stylish and cold, than warm and frumpy."
The world according to Derek Blasberg. I love him.

Outnet! You broke my heart
To say I was excited about The Outnet sale is the understatement of the decade. A £1 sale for Net-a-Porter's old stock is tailored made for the thrifty fashionista and the thought of getting my hands on some spindly heeled Miu Miu's or a breathtaking Fendi gown had me positively giddy. When my email came through at 7.23am confirming I could get in to the sale I sprang out of bed. Unfortunately some things just aren't meant to be, I had difficulties logging on and The Outnet server was seriously over worked, so I had to say goodbye to my Miu Miu dreams...To that girl who exclaimed on Outnet's twitter she got an Erdem gown for a quid. I salute you.

Dodgwa Fash-wa: Trackie Bs go couture
So when Alexander Wang shows something on a catwalk it's safe to say it's gonna catch on. The sport-luxe trend is EVERYWHERE this season, even more than all those pesky fleshy hues and I'm kind of loving it. Having purchased a grey Gap off-the-shoulder sweater this weekend, which compliments my sage peg-legs, I'm positively in enamoured with the look. An off-the-shoulder top isn't exactly difficult to pull off, fashion tracksuit bottoms on the other hand...
I have to admit, I've been wrestling with the notion of tracksuit chic for many months. I love an open-toe bootie and think they look great with harems, but harems made from sweat material?! It all seems just a step too far. All I know is that I don't want to look back on Summer 2010 and feel the same way I do about looking back at photos of myself in a rip-off juicy couture velour tracksuit c.2001, J to the LO I wasn't...Although these Whistles sweats could convince me otherwise, so i'm preparing myself for fashion shame as we speak.

TGI (Thank God it's) Spring!

Thank God for British summertime! The clocks have gone forward and after a hard days work, it isn't pitch black the minute I step off the tube. All this extra daylight has made me return to my beloved twisted headscarf. Part Prada S/S07, part Serena Van der Woodsen it epitomises springtime's nonchalant mood (and mine!) I'm thinking complimented with a printed jumpsuit and denim jacket that's me sorted for Spring.
Good Friday fabulousness.
Desperately seeking...a maxi skirt
I want a maxi skirt. Badly. But I never really know what to wear with them anymore. In the nineties I wore maxi skirts to every social event (I was 13) usually with a skintight bodysuit or this illuminous green D&G top I used to be be obsessed with. I would love to go Alexander Wang style and wear one with a slouchy crop top, but I am not Natasha Poly. Perhaps A slouchy off-the shoulder top will be a good look? Inspire me someone! This is what I've got so far.
