Gimme some more Jil Sander!

Missoni was inspired by 90's hip-hop music going as far as knitting lyrics in to the brightly coloured ensemble and Raf Simons from Jil Sander had music from Busta Rhymes, "Gimme Some More" playing during the latest catwalk show, but I think it was obvious that the video also totally influenced the collection. Hype Williams needs to get some props from Mr Simons for that vivid colour palette and those new-school goggle glasses. Loved it.

I heart Jourdann Dunn

Being a woman of colour there's nothing I love more than seeing a young black model flourishing. Jourdan Dunn went a way for a while after her (surprise) pregnancy, but I think motherhood definately suits her. Miss Dunn is walking like a diva on the international catwalks and refreshingly a laid back London girl off the runway, so i thought I needed to post my fave pics of her from Fashion Month so far. Enjoy!

My Future Summer Look

I loved the Dolce show, too beautiful for words. All the white cotton, lace and bridal imagery could have come across as contrived and unworkable, but the stunning embellishment and hip-hop inspired oversize gold hooped earrings brought the entire collection up to date and since I have not been see without myown gold hoops for at least 7 years I am thrilled. Just 9 months till the summer.

Neo Neons at LFW

Fantasy buy for SS11...

I have never wanted a trench as badly as these two stunners. Take a deep breath...

So like every sane woman I watched the amazing livestream of the Burberry Prorsum SS11 show. It was beautiful: The haunting music, the leather armed trenches, Jourdan Dunn even the contraversial savage heels. I am sooo adoring all the neon colours around for next summer. Oooh someone get me a studded Burberry Trench ASAP. I am over the aviator already...

LFW and snapping THE Snapper

So I have been away for a few months, as I have been busily working as Fashion and Beauty Editor at Fashion Confidential. Not only that, but thanks to lack of internet in my London shoe-box blogging has been very sparse indeed. That aside I've been to a few London Fashion week shows and spotted sooo many of my fave editors! From Marie Claire US editor Taylor Tomasi-Hill at Christopher Kane (fitting in nicely to Kane's neon theme for SS11 thanks to her brightly coloured Proenza jersey) to W's Stefano Tonchi, surely the most dapper man in fash land. Oh and get this, I also managed to snap the Sartorialist. More LFW analysis coming soon!
